South Carolina Home Inspection Licensing

This is one of the newest and most rewarding careers currently available to you. It is also one of the few real estate licenses that does not require an apprenticeship. That’s right – you can start your own home inspection company as soon as you are licensed!

New homes, as well as resale homes, can benefit from an inspection. In fact, many real estate companies requires that homes listed with their company be inspected by a licensed home inspector. The number of home sales has increased, thereby increasing the need for additional home inspectors.

Our Home Inspection Licensing course will prepare you to successfully complete the state licensing exam to become a licensed home inspector. You will learn the responsibilities of the home inspector, as set forth by the South Carolina Residential Builders Commission. Standards of Practice will be covered in detail, along with report writing, marketing, advertising, red flag areas, special inspections, construction opinions, roof inspections, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and more. Includes field trip and reference book.

Home Inspection Lab

In this hands-on laboratory, you will perform several practice home inspections at various locations throughout greater Columbia. The first day will focus on field activities; the second day will bring all information together and assist you in developing critical report writing skills.
