SES Tutoring

WHY CHOOSE US

Community involvement is important to us at the Real Estate School of SC. As a part of our commitment to enriching our neighborhood, we pursued the supplemental education services program as a way to give back. Tutoring young people is a perfect fit with our overall mission of teaching. Our facility is conveniently located and offers a safe, comfortable environment.

In order to be qualified to provide supplemental education services to your child, our instructors are required to have both the necessary educational background and proven effectiveness in the classroom. Our instructors have ample experience in creating and maintaining the learning momentum that leads to successful course completion.

OUR UNIQUE APPROACH

During your child's first session with us, we will identify his or her learning style and current level of knowledge using standardized assessment tools. We then begin instruction, tailored to your child's needs to help him or her begin mastering the concepts. Our instruction involves personal interaction between the instructor and the student in a classroom setting. We intensify learning by providing instruction and meaningful assignments that are connected to the real world, and allow time for discussion and idea sharing. Students work together to develop and investigate their own questions. Our methods require teamwork and communication, and encourage more analysis and evaluation of information than do traditional classrooms.

WHAT TO EXPECT

A typical tutoring session
includes the following:

 • Opening Activity
 • Review of Previous Session
 • Overview of Instructional Goals
 • Reading or Math Activity
 • Closing Activity
 • Follow-Up Assessment

Completing these activities will help your child feel a sense of accomplishment and success, which increases his motivation for learning.

PARENT INVOLVEMENT

A great school experience starts here.

We will strive to involve parents and families in each child’s experience at our facility. Our first communication when the student enters the program will be a face to face meeting. Students will then be assessed weekly and the results given to the parent. Feedback from the parent will be sought at least twice monthly. Parents will be given contact information for their child’s instructors so that they are able to ask questions or comment at any time.
