The Real Estate School of South Carolina offers training in a variety of professional disciplines. As a provider of educational services since 1977, we have prepared students to succeed in the areas of real estate, appraisal, home inspection, home building, property management, and insurance.

And, while we have offered continuing education courses for mortgage professionals for a number of years, we now offer the required pre-license training as mandated by the SAFE Act of 2008 for mortgage professionals in the state of South Carolina. (NMLS Approved Course Provider, ID #1400126)

REAL ESTATE

  •  To obtain your real estate license, you'll need to take a 60 hour pre-licensing course. Click here to register. 
  • To upgrade to a permanent sales license (during your first year of initial licensure), you'll need to take 30 hours of post licensing courses. Click here to register.
  • To become a Broker or Broker In Charge, you must be licensed for at least three years and take both Broker A and Broker B, as well as pass the state exam. Click here to register.

APPRAISAL

  • To get started in the appraisal business, you must begin as an Apprentice, which requires 75 hours of classroom instruction. Click here to register. 
  • To become a Licensed Appraiser, QE-4 through QE-7 must be completed, as well as the state exam. Click here to register. 
  • To upgrade to a Certified Residential Appraisal license, QE-8, QE-9 and QE-E must be taken and the experience requirement met. Click here to register. 

PROPERTY MANAGEMENT

  • To become a Property Manager or Property Manager In Charge,  the state of South Carolina requires a 30 hour course to be taken and a state exam passed. Click here to register. 

HOME INSPECTION AND HOME BUILDING

  • To get started as a Home Inspector, we offer a 40 hour course that will prepare you to take the state licensing exam. Click here to register.  
  • To become a licensed Home Builder, you may take our Home Builders Licensing Course as a substitute for practical experience; however, at least some practical experience will be necessary for your application to be approved. Click here to register.

MORTGAGE LICENSING

  • NEW: The SAFE Mortgage Act of 2008 mandates prelicense training for mortgage professionals.
